Last Wednesday night the 30th of January we decided to call off our weekly meeting due to the bad weather conditions.
We will return this Wednesday night the 6th of February where we have former member Debbie Hickey coming in to give a talk about her work and show us some of her amazing photos from the different gigs she has photographed over the years so it’s sure to be an enjoyable night.
Our beginners class returns for the next 4 weeks and will run from 7.45pm to 8.25pm on Wednesday nights in Hayes Hotel at a charge of €5 per night .
On behalf of Thurles Camera Club we would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Liam Perkins, our hard working former treasurer for all his work in the role over the past 11 years. Liam made the job look easy which is a testament to his professionalism and attention to detail in always have his books up to date. He passes on the role to our new treasurer Miriam Bourke who is taking the role in her stride with the help of Sadie Dwyer when needed. So again thanks a million Liam for all your hard work.
Lastly we would like to thank the Tipperary Star for their article about our club in last week’s edition and hopefully it offered a little insight to people who don’t know about our club and what we are about so thanks a million to everyone involved.
